ComedyCE.com is a continuing education company whose mission is to make learning fun. The company was founded by Eric Johnson, a nationally-recognized author with nearly 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry, and Danielle Kunkle, an expert on Medicare-related products and co-owner of Boomer Benefits in Fort Worth. Danielle has stepped away from the business to focus on growing her agency, though she still does an occasional course for ComedyCE.com members.
ComedyCE.com was established to get insurance agents and employers up to speed on employee benefits and keep them informed about the latest changes in the insurance industry. With a new administration vowing to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, that’s not an easy task. Despite our name, our courses aren’t always funny. Instead, we focus on providing timely, useful, easy-to-understand, and memorable content that will help agents better advise their clients.
Currently, we only offer CE credit to licensed agents in the state of Texas (provider number 37719). On this site, you can find a list of approved courses, our upcoming live events, and our webinar calendar. To inquire about us speaking at your event, please email Eric Johnson.
2017 ComedyCE.com Season Pass
A ComedyCE.com Season Pass is a great way to keep up with the latest changes in the insurance industry and stay on top of your required CE hours. Our Season Pass gives you unlimited access to our webinar CE classes through the end of 2017 for just $99. We offer a minimum of 4 separate classes and 6 hours of CE credit per month, so you’ll have plenty of opportunity to complete your continuing education requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to purchase a season pass if I only need a few hours or can I sign up for classes one at a time?
You can sign up for classes one at a time for $10 per hour. Unless you only need a couple hours of CE credit, you’ll probably find it more economical to purchase a season pass. For more information, email Eric.
How quickly will I receive my CE certificates?
We try to process your CE certificates as quickly as possible, but TDI does give us up to 30 days. During busy times of the year, it can take a few weeks. Other times, you’ll receive your certificates the same day. If you need credit because you have to renew your license, let us know and will get it taken care of for you.
How will my CE certificates be sent to me?
We’ll email you a copy of your CE certificate if you attend a live event. Right now, the answer is the same for our webinar CE classes. Soon, though, we’ll be able to share a Dropbox link with ComedyCE.com members where you can access all of your CE certificates (for any ComedyCE.com class you’ve ever attended). Once we’ve done that, members will need to access their certificates through the Dropbox link — we believe it’s more convenient and easier to keep up with than email.
Who is LearnBenefits?
LearnBenefits.com is the new website we’ve set up for agents to read breaking news, quickly access legislation and regulatory guidance, get answers to their insurance questions, learn from industry experts across the country, meet vendors who can help them help their clients, and access tools that will save them hours of time. Our ComedyCE.com monthly webinars are recorded and can be viewed on the LearnBenefits website. LearnBenefits offers a few resources for free and also has monthly and annual membership programs.
Do we get access to LearnBenefits if we have a ComedyCE.com season pass?
No, the two membership programs are separate. The ComedyCE.com season pass will get you access to our monthly webinars but not to our live in-person evens or to the LearnBenefits website. As a reminder, LearnBenefits does have a free base-level membership that you can sign up for.
What else should I be asking?
Nothing. Those are all of the questions anybody could ever have.
